Snap-on Releases ZEUS+ Heavy-Duty Diagnostic Scanner with ECU Programming
Snap-on ZEUS+ Heavy-Duty Scanner
Snap-on has launched the ZEUS+ diagnostic scanner, its most capable heavy-duty diagnostic platform to date. The ZEUS+ adds full ECU programming and calibration capabilities alongside comprehensive diagnostic functions, making it a one-tool solution for shops that service the full range of vehículos comerciales from Class 3 through Clase 8.
ECU Programming Capabilities
The standout feature of the ZEUS+ is its integrated ECU programming module, which supports reprogramming and calibration for Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, Navistar, and Volvo engine control modules. Technicians can perform parameter changes, injector trim code updates, DPF regeneration threshold adjustments, and speed limiter modifications directly from the tool. The programming function uses a dedicated high-speed CAN interface to ensure reliable data transfer during the flashing process.
Diagnostic Coverage
The ZEUS+ provides coverage for over 200 vehículo comercial systems, including engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body controller, and aftertreatment modules. The tool supports J1939, J1708, J1587, ISO 15765 (CAN), and Keyword Protocol 2000 communications. A new "intelligent diagnostics" feature uses pattern recognition to correlate multiple fault codes and suggest the most likely root cause, reducing diagnostic time by an average of 35% according to Snap-on's field testing.
Hardware and Connectivity
The ZEUS+ features a 15.6-inch full HD touchscreen display, 256 GB of internal storage, and built-in Wi-Fi 6E connectivity for cloud-based updates and remote support. The included docking station provides USB-C connectivity and charges the tool wirelessly. Pricing starts at $12,500 with a two-year software subscription included.
