Dorman Products Expands camión pesado Aftermarket Catalog by 2,500 SKUs
Dorman Heavy-Duty Catalog Expansion
Dorman Products, one of the largest aftermarket auto and truck parts manufacturers in North America, has announced the addition of 2,500 new SKUs to its camión pesado parts catalog. The expansion targets Class 5-8 trucks from Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International, and Western Star.
New Category Highlights
The expansion includes several categories where aftermarket options have previously been limited. Notable additions include 150 new aftertreatment components (DPF assemblies, DOC catalysts, DEF injectors, and NOx sensors), 200 electronic control modules and sensors, 300 cab and body components, and 180 HVAC parts. Dorman has invested significantly in reverse-engineering and testing these components to ensure they meet or exceed fabricante original specifications.
Aftertreatment Focus
The aftertreatment category is particularly significant, as DPF and SCR component replacements represent one of the largest maintenance cost categories for modern diesel trucks. A replacement DPF assembly from an fabricante original dealer typically costs $3,000 to $5,000, while Dorman's aftermarket alternatives are priced 40 to 50% below fabricante original list prices. Each component undergoes flow bench testing and fitment verification.
Distribution Strategy
Dorman is distributing the new heavy-duty parts through its established network including FleetPride, Genuine Parts Company (NAPA), and TRP (PACCAR aftermarket brand). The company has also launched a dedicated heavy-duty e-commerce portal with detailed cross-reference information and installation guides.
