Bendix Launches Next-Generation Wingman Fusion sistemas avanzados de asistencia al conductor Platform for vehículos comerciales

Bendix Wingman Fusion 3.0

Bendix vehículo comercial Systems, a subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse, has launched the Wingman Fusion 3.0 advanced driver assistance system (sistemas avanzados de asistencia al conductor), representing the third generation of its radar-camera fusion safety platform for vehículos comerciales. The updated system provides significant improvements in detection range, classification accuracy, and the addition of new safety features.

Sensor Upgrades

Wingman Fusion 3.0 features a new 77 GHz long-range radar with a detection range of 250 meters, up from 200 meters in the previous generation. The forward-facing camera has been upgraded to a 5-megapixel unit with improved low-light performance. A new side-facing radar system provides blind-spot detection and turn-assist functionality, alerting drivers to vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists in the truck's blind spots during low-speed turning maneuvers.

New Features

The active lane-keeping assist (ALKA) feature provides gentle corrective steering inputs when the truck drifts out of its lane without a turn signal, a first for the Bendix platform. The updated automatic emergency braking (AEB) system now provides full braking authority at speeds up to 65 MPH, with improved detection of stationary vehicles, pedestrians, and motorcyclists.

fabricante original Adoption

Bendix reports that Wingman Fusion 3.0 has been selected as the factory-standard sistemas avanzados de asistencia al conductor platform by International Trucks for the 2027 model year LT and RH Series, and is available as an option from Mack and Volvo. The system meets the forthcoming NHTSA AEB mandate for heavy vehicles, which takes effect for new models in 2028.
