FleetPride, the largest independent distributor of aftermarket camión pesado and remolque parts in North America with over 300 locations, has completed the deployment of an AI-driven predictive parts demand system across its entire network. The system uses machine learning algorithms to forecast parts demand at the individual location level.

System Capabilities

The predictive demand system analyzes over 50 data inputs to generate location-specific demand forecasts for each of FleetPride's approximately 500,000 active SKUs. Inputs include historical sales patterns, seasonal trends, weather forecasts, flota age demographics, recall activity, and economic indicators such as freight volume indices. The system generates rolling 13-week demand forecasts updated weekly.

Results

Since full deployment, FleetPride reports a 15% improvement in first-call fill rates, which now exceed 92% across the network. Simultaneously, overall inventory levels have been reduced by 8%, freeing up approximately $40 million in working capital. The system has been particularly effective at predicting demand spikes for seasonal items.

Customer Impact

For flota maintenance operations, the improved parts availability translates directly to reduced vehicle downtime. When a truck needs a repair, the ability to source the correct part within hours rather than days can mean the difference between a same-day repair and a multi-day wait. FleetPride estimates the improved fill rates save customers a collective $200 million annually in avoided downtime costs.
